Nicole Miller at The Bellevue will focus on Destination Weddings for its annual Spring Bridal Event on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from noon to 5pm. A bride can plan her wedding in an exotic locale (like Paris, for instance) and the attending partners (listed below) will either be on-site at the wedding or plan everything from the States and ship it accordingly.

Drexel students have again dressed the mannequins using tissue papers...
From far away they look like they're wearing Nicole Miller designs.
Store owner Mary K. Dougherty offered a sneak peak at what's on sale. This big sale only happens twice a year and just about everything in the store is 50 to 75% off. This Red Chrysler dress was $810 and is now $420.
Kim Derah helps mark some of the fancy dresses down...they're 50% off. Yes, those are a few bridal gowns you see to the left of Kim.

For those who read yesterday's entry, you’ll know that the shops at the Bellevue are all having sales this week, and today I took a walk down to the Polo Ralph Lauren store. A host of nice shirts and polos are on sale for up to 60% off. Various jackets and pants are also on sale for up 60% off.
As for me, I was pretty intrigued by the tie selection. I'm kind of into the bowtie look recently, so it was nice to see that polo had a wide assortment of different ties and bowties. Surely they have something for everyone, but if that’s not your thing, you can stick to the polo and Ralph Lauren has your favorite styles in a variety of colors in the classic look.
August may be here in a couple of days, but that doesn’t mean you have to get rid of the colorful summer style that Polo Ralph Lauren has on sale right now. Go check it out and see for yourself.

My favorite part of Nicole Miller at The Bellevue's twice annual sale (besides the 50 to 75% off) is that owner Mary K. Dougherty challenges her sales associates to utilize materials on hand (hot pink tissue paper, tulle, the cheetah-print bags, Nicole Miller ribbons) and dress the mannequins in Nicole Miller styles.
The first day they're up you might walk by thinking it's an expensive dress.
Yesterday when I was taking photos a man asked me if I liked the dress and was surprised to learn upon closer inspection that it was made of tissue paper!

The Bellevue was a lead sponsor of the Radnor Hunt Races for Open Space on Saturday, May 16th. More than 200 guests visited our tent where the theme was the South of France. Proceeds from the event benefited the Brandywine Conservancy.
