Today, Philabundance came to collect the food Bellevue tenants collected for our food drive. Over 20 boxes of food were donated to this worthy cause. Great job everybody!

On Monday, March 29, employees and friends gathered in the Hyatt's Grand Ballroom to get their groove on with The Bellevue's Head of Security June Donaldson. June teaches line dancing lessons all over the city and lent his expertise to us for the afternoon.
Admission to event was one or more canned food items. The line dancing event served as the kick off to The Bellevue's food drive, benefiting Philabundance.

The American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter set up shop in the the Gourmet Food Court Thursday to promote their annual Walk and Run.
The Red Cross guys were handing out free t-shirts and information at the bottom of the escalators. The Walk and Run is April 17 in Fairmount Park.

Jazz Great Ramsey Lewis strolled through The Bellevue's lobby last night.
He's in town through Friday as the Spring 2010 Artist in Residence for Penn’s Center for Africana Studies.
The Gourmet Food Court tenants smiled pretty today for photographer Shira Yudkoff. Shira is shooting the Food Court for a spring ad campaign to be featured in the Inquirer and Daily News. Keep an eye out for the ad in the coming weeks.

The Deli's Lunchtime Escape series featuring August Lutz, Death Panel, and Lion Versus, performed in the Gourmet Food Court today. The performers provided patrons with an "escape" from the snowy, blustery day. The next performance will be March 26.

The Philadelphia International Flower Show announced the winners of their 15th Annual Phlower Power Window Decorating Contest today.
Our own Nicole Miller took the prize for "Most Elegant" display.



There's a college Glee Club competition in town and before the Penn State group headed to Trinity Church for their 2 PM performance they grabbed a bite to eat in the Food Court and then bought some cookies from Skylar who's set up outside Nicole Miller.

They all came together to honor Denise Robertson of Campbell Soup Company as the winner of Philadelphia Magazine's Sixth Annual Trailblazer Award, dedicated to women in business.

Gregg Feistman's thriller The War Merchants is set in Philadelphia and mentions XIX.

One of the first guests to arrive at the signing was Jenny Mercedes, a student of Feistman's at Temple University now working at PREIT.

The Sporting Club celebrated its 21st Anniversary on Thursday, January 21. Guests from around the city gathered together to drink, dance, and dine for a good cause: Students Run Philly Style.

Lots of business gets conducted throughout The Bellevue but one of the best-kept secrets may be the Food Court. Job interviews, team meetings, simple get-togethers, legal signings and networking over a slice of pizza happen here throughout the week. Below Laura Horwitz of the Philadelphia Research Initiative and Tom Ferrick Jr. of Metropolis, a newly launched political website focused on Philadelphia, grab a cup of coffee from Amazon in the morning before the crowds hit.

One of the top tenants at The Bellevue is Tierney, the advertising and public relations firm. Here their brass sign in the lobby catches the light off the snow covered trees.

Governor Rendell didn't let a little snow stop him from holiday shopping. He stopped by The Bellevue, said hello to the carolers and Trixie and then went on his merry way.
You might know him as one of the stars of PBS' History Detectives or as a professor at University of Pennsylvania. But last night he strolled through The Bellevue's lobby.

The Committee of Seventy welcomed Vice President Joe Biden to The Bellevue for breakfast with a few hundred of the city's movers and shakers this morning. Folks started lining up around 7AM.

Everyone had to get in to a line that started in the food court and wound its way through the lobby.

On Monday Terrell Utley stopped by Vigant especially to see Carlos Klejman and shop at his store. A good friend of hers in Long Beach, Calif. used to work for Carlos and Mrs. Utley always stops in when she's in Philadelphia just to connect (and shop). She's as nice as she looks.
Or should I say, seen at The Bellevue's Food Court. He's often here, his Philadelphia office is located in The Bellevue but he's been awfully busy with that budget. Today he took a break and stopped by Ellen's Bagels, Hoagies & More for a quick bite.
